Hit TV drama Happy Valley is due to come to a dramatic end this Sunday, 5th February, but did you know some of the filming locations from the series are actually within Halifax and Bradford?

Police Station – Old Halifax Swimming Pool, Skircoat Road | HX1
Sergeant Catherine Cawood’s centre of operations, the external location of the police station will be familiar to most Calderdale residents as the old Halifax swimming pool – redressed with ‘Yorkshire Police’ signage.
Tommy Lee Royce’s Hideout – Fenton Road, Halifax | HX1
If, like us, you are glued to your sofa every Sunday at 9pm waiting for the next episode, you will know that on Sunday we saw Tommy finish his escape and travelling with Darius to his hide-out on Fenton Road in Halifax. This area is not new to the TV scene, having also recently been used as a filming location for Channel 4’s Ackley Bridge.
Ann & Daniel’s Home – Upper Headly Hall, Headly Lane | BD13
The filming location for Ann and Daniel’s home is a fantastic Grade I listed property. Built during the reign of Elizabeth I, this Bradford home is featured throughout season three of the drama and is the perfect secluded property for Ann and Daniel.

Happy Valley also showcases the stunning scenery of the surrounding areas of Calderdale, from Hebden Bridge to Mount Tabor and Sowerby Bridge.
