We are delighted to present the annual Vic Southerington Award to Tabby Hickling, our Senior Sales Manager at the Birkenshaw branch.
Launched in memory of our late colleague, the award was presented to Tabby by Vic’s wife, Margaret Southerington and John Watts. Vic Southerington, who sadly passed away in April 2020 of Covid, started working for Robert Watts in the early 1980s as a Valuer in its first office on Bolton Road and we are proud to be able to continue to present this award to our team in his memory.
Traditionally the employee of the year award would have been awarded to someone from the most profitable branch. However, the Watts family did not feel this fit with the ethos of Vic. Therefore, it was decided that the award would go to an individual who displayed the highest level of tenacity and has gone above and beyond in the pursuit of excellent customer service.
John Watts said “Tabby is one of our most experienced Sales Managers and she has worked for us for over 20 years. A fantastic asset to the team, Tabby is constantly going above and beyond and is well deserving of this award.
“Thank you Tabby for all of your hard work!”
